10:26am - 25 days in hollywood

During 25 days of radiation for my breast cancer, I took some time roaming the streets of Hollywood. A myriad of emotions, sights, smells and experiences helped build this body of work. The repetitive treatments gave me a chance to witness the day to day of a very complicated and diverse neighborhood. It was my vision to document the environment even though it was extremely sad and often truly distressing. I did encounter love and hope surrounded by the dominance of despair. Once there was another city here and now it is gone. This is the Hollywood, California that I came to understand on my journey.
